The Safe Internet League considers it necessary to limit the work of streaming platforms Twitch and Trovo in Russia. This was announced by the head of the organization Ekaterina Mizulina.
In his opinion, these platforms represent a threat to the life and health of children, since they often become advertising platforms for drugstores.
“We invite the state to think about limiting the operation of these platforms on the territory of our country,” he said (quoted by TASS).
Mizulina also believes that the state should “put under strict control” the video game industry, including in-game chats and servers. The Safer Internet League believes that many children become victims of crime due to intruders in such chat rooms.
The initiative to ban a series of video games was previously tabled in the State Duma. On November 11, the first deputy head of the State Duma Committee on Education, Yana Lantratova, proposed limiting computer games in Russia that promote violence, cruelty, profanity, and also contain information on manufacturing drugs and committing suicide.
