The authors of the new scientific study analyzed data from another study called the biannual Chinese Family Panel Studies. In total, the answers of 6728 participants were gathered there. They talked about who makes the decisions in the family, who is responsible for the financial situation. The researchers also evaluated the appearance of the participants.
It turned out that only 15% of the women surveyed make important family decisions. At the same time, the higher the physical attractiveness, the greater the power of the woman in the family. There were no family decision makers in the group of women considered the least beautiful.
