American documentary filmmaker Alex Gibney has decided to make a film about billionaire Elon Musk, writes The Verge.
Alex Gibney is the author of Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine and Enron. The smartest guys in this room” about one of the biggest scandals in the American business world. In 2008, the cinematographer received an Oscar for the film Taxi to the Dark Side.
According to producer Zhang Xin, Gibney’s future work will be a “strict portrayal” of the richest and most successful people on the planet.
The project now has the working title “Mask”. It is also known that the director intends to investigate in detail the identity of the billionaire. It is not yet clear whether the filmmakers will focus on the personal life of an entrepreneur or the success and failure stories of the companies associated with him. According to Gibney, he’s already gotten a bit of work done on the project.
This will not be the first feature film about Elon Musk, in 2018 he became the main character of Elon Musk: The Real Life Iron Man.
