Apple Watch can track your breathing rate while you sleep. At first, the man received a warning from the watch that he was breathing faster. Then he went to the clinic and was given medicine for bronchitis.

But that same day, the man received another alert on his Apple Watch: his blood oxygen levels were dropping. With these results, he went to the emergency room. Computed tomography revealed the root cause of the man’s symptoms: It turned out he had a blood clot in his lungs.

The patient was prescribed blood thinners and “feels much better”. The man believes the Apple Watch saved his life.
