In a recent study, scientists found that the speed of the brain only slows down after 40 years. In other words, the brain actually develops much longer than previously thought.
At the same time, the part of the brain associated with thinking and performing tasks takes longer to develop than the part of the brain responsible for movement.
All data were obtained by the researchers by taking measurements using an electrode grid. This grid consists of 60-100 electrodes that can measure brain activity. By stimulating the electrodes, it is possible to understand which parts of the brain respond normally and which do not.
