IKEA has sold its latest plant in Russia. The Slotex company from St. Petersburg became the buyer of the plant in the Novgorod region. Two other IKEA production sites were previously bought by a Komi wood processing company.
The Swedish company IKEA has sold all production sites in Russia. The Slotex company from St. Petersburg became the buyer of the last company in the Novgorod region.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the owner of IKEA Industry Novgorod is still listed as Klipphult Holding AB, which managed all IKEA factories in Russia.
According to Kommersant, Invest Plus, 99% owned by Slotex, has become the new owner of the latest Russian IKEA company.
Slotex produces boards for furniture, countertops and kitchen cabinet facades, which were also supplied to IKEA. According to the company’s own data, its revenue in 2021 amounted to 5.8 billion rubles.
In March, IKEA sold its enterprises in the Kirov and Leningrad regions. Both factories were bought by the lumber company Luzales.
