As part of the Moscow exhibition, the dedicated functionality of communications and navigation systems was demonstrated in difficult conditions, the Unmanned Systems brand demonstrated a rather unusual drone, which houses equipment for providing cellular communications.
As conceived by the creators, this UAV is designed to provide stable mobile communications in various hard-to-reach areas and threats with underdeveloped or missing infrastructure.
The drone functions quite simply – the device rises into the air at an altitude of about 100 meters, where signals from remote exemplary laboratories are perceived, after which it is relayed to any BS, to appear within a 100-kilometer radius. At the same time, the drone receives power via wires and can work for weeks.
So far, a UAV with a base station on a ship is used to provide cellular communications by specialists in search and rescue operations in the Far East, Siberia and northern countries, but later the range of drone tasks to be solved extension.
