In Russia, online sales of goods and services are growing, but at the same time, the number of fraudulent transactions and not very decent entrepreneurs, sites and services is increasing, Izvestia has learned.
Not the last role in this is played by subscriptions, which implies the extension of payments, but it is not always possible to unsubscribe from them.
“Not being able to cancel the paid subscription, the client turns to the bank with a request to stop further cancellations of funds. However, there, instead of canceling the subsequent requirements of an unscrupulous recipient, you are offered a new issue of the card, which creates unjustified difficulties and often additional costs – continuous cancellations, ”says the appeal to the chief. of the regulator.
Therefore, the organization was asked to add requirements for banks, which would set the rule that they cannot refuse to withdraw a debit acceptance to a customer and must not transfer funds at the recipient’s request.
In January, Yana Yurakova, an analyst at the Positive Technologies research group, warned that the offer to pay for goods in a store by transfer to a card should alert. Scammers may be hiding behind a company account.
