According to Microsoft, the CVE-2023-28303 vulnerability affected both the Snip & Sketch application in Windows 10 and the Snipping Tool in Windows 11. The company became aware of the problem earlier this week. Hackers can, for example, undo changes made to screenshots that could reveal personal information in the image.

To fix the vulnerability, simply download the latest app update. Snipping Tool version should be 10.2008.3001.0 and Snip & Sketch version should be 11.2302.20.0. Unfortunately, screenshots previously posted online cannot be corrected.
