Judging by the screenshot, a new icon in the form of a sound signal will be added to the chat thread. Clicking on it will start the voice chat. Unfortunately, there is no official information yet on how this feature will work.
The voice chat itself will have a red button to end ongoing calls. It is possible that this is different from a regular call in that you can leave and return from the voice chat at any time.
It is not yet known when the feature will be available in the stable version.
