The Argentine Migration Service began to massively deny Russians the granting of a residence permit (residence permit) and extension of tourist stay. Georgy Polin, head of the consular department of the Russian embassy in the republic, told TASS about this.

Russians began to massively deny residence permits in Argentina

In several dozen cases, Russians were required to leave the country as soon as possible under the threat of deportation.

As a reason for the refusal to extend the tourist’s stay, the authorities point to the provision on travel without a visa, according to which holders of Russian passports can stay in Argentina without a visa for no more than 90 days in half a year.

  • Previously, the Czech authorities extended the current ban on granting visas to Russians and Belarusians until the end of March 2024. The restrictions have been extended: now citizens of Russia and Belarus will not be able to obtain a visa, even if they have another citizenship. An exception was made for humanitarian trips and those who already have a residence permit. Likewise, relatives of citizens of the Czech Republic, or those whose stay “satisfies the interests” of the republic, can also apply for a short-stay visa.
