The site was shut down after the Overseas Content Distribution Association (CODA) filed a criminal complaint on behalf of Japanese companies. Among the four arrested are the operator of the site, two women who upload pirated content, and a man who uploads pirated content to file-sharing platforms to earn advertising money.

According to CODA, the shutdown of B9Good shows that “with stubbornness and clever tactics, solutions can be found in challenging overseas regions.”
