Midjourney was used to create “deep fake” photos of people doing things they’ve never done before. Some fakes can be used for fun, but others can spread misinformation and damage reputation. So, for example, on the Web they posted “photos” created by Midjourney, in which Donald Trump was detained while fleeing from protesters Emmanuel Macron or the Pope at a fashion show.

Midjourney subscriptions currently range from $10 to $60 per month, depending on the processing power and features the user desires.
