Kommersant reports that fake applications of Russian services have begun to appear on Google Play.

In particular, we are talking about RuStore, RuMarket and Sbol. Applications use logos that disappear with loss, while they do not have exhibition functions, but only display banner ads. For example, the publisher Sberbank inc released a fake Sbol that only shows ads.

There is another analogue from Maslova mrsDevops, which requires the input of all bank card data. VKontakte noted that RuStore is available only on the official website, Sberbank said that they reliably monitor the appearance of fake applications and send complaints to Google.

Artem Bigildeev, co-founder of Setka.media, said that advertisers benefit from any ad that requires a motivated transition: “A person who puts up a fake market will see a normal ad and go to them. Advertisers rarely appear on the blacklist of applications: only if the advertising is effective or if it spoils their image.” [Коммерсантъ]
