Authoritative journalist Mark Gurman shared details about the upcoming AR / MR helmet from Apple.
The headset has two ports: USB-C for data transfer and a magnetic port for connecting an external battery, giving up to 2 hours of battery life. Obviously, the magnetic connector is similar to the MagSafe in the MacBook.
Transfer, the battery will be compact. And also given the small amount of power supply assembly.
Gurman says that the battery and cable are solid and inseparable from each other. The housing with the tip is attached to the magnetic port on the headset, it is fixed with a rotational movement during installation. This means that the cable does not fall out during use.
This device is expected to cost around $3,000. Trademark applications have occurred that it will be called “Apple Reality Pro”. [9to5]
