A smart remote from Yandex is one of my favorite smart home devices or just extra comfort. It is inexpensive, but the amenities are more than enough.

What is Yandex Smart Remote YNDX-0006?
This smart remote, obviously. It allows you to control a random, encountered IR receiver via the Internet – manually through Yandex applications or by voice through Alice. It is ancient, at least 4 years on the market, but still very much liked.
Why is it needed, you ask? I answer: with it, devices without smart functions can be made quite smart. Add to them remote control from anywhere in the world. And just manage them through Alice in a column or smartphone, without raising your ass from the couch or where you are right now.
Example. Let’s say you have a “stupid” air conditioner or TV. They put up a remote control. Hop, and devices without smart functions have become quite smart. They respond to the command. Through Alice, even scenarios and injuries can be made for them. For example, if there is a smart lock or a motion detector, the on/off of the air conditioner may increase. And with a temperature sensor, you can almost do climate control. It is useful if the air conditioner itself does not read the temperature in the room well (like at my house), or it is important to control the temperature in the same part of the room.
The Yandex remote control hits at a distance of up to 18 meters and all 360 degrees around itself, as well as straight up. One for the whole night had to be missed, if the link to the mind. In extreme cases, buy a second one.
The only negative, as for me, is the connection port. Micro-USB is no longer in vogue. Even in the office we have very little left. But considering everything else, it’s a nitpick.

Today I bought a second such remote control, but now to our office. There are already houses. I wanted the air conditioner to work 20 minutes before my arrival, to cool the room. Yandex Smart Remote costs before 1390 rubles, sometimes cheaper. Now here is 1179 rubles. There are cheaper alternatives to the “noname” format, but I don’t consider them on principle.
