3 Reasons I Hate MacOS So Much I Would Throw My Mac Out The Window

There are many things about macOS that need a serious refresh.

macOS Ventura is far from the perfect operating system

Like any other Apple tech and product news writer, I own a plethora of electronics and accessories from the company where, as you might guess, the bitten apple was. One of them is the 2020 MacBook Pro with M1 processor. Before I begin, I must say that I am very satisfied with the performance of this machine.

Yes, it’s not as powerful as the 2023 MacBook Pro series, but meets perfectly With the execution of the heaviest tasks such as Visual Editor, video editing, multitasking, video games and the use of applications that use more system resources.

But can you be so happy with the performance of this MacBook Pro that I am writing this article? doesn’t mean it’s also with your operating system. And macOS has a lot of things to improve. Here are some of the reasons why I sometimes want to throw my MacBook Pro out the window.

The notification system is a real disaster.

Notification Center

macOS Notification Center urgently needs an upgrade

Firstly. Who came up with the bright idea to activate Notification Center by clicking on the date? I know this is an ever-present feature and there aren’t many other alternatives but does this really make sense? Personally, I think like Control Center has your own custom button in the menu barthere should also be a button for Notification Center.

However, what really bothers me about macOS notifications is, not listed. If you are using a full-screen application, notifications from applications such as Microsoft Teams do not appear, other notifications such as those from the App Store arrive hours late, on the other hand, you need to keep applications such as Mail, Skype, Slack open. Telegram etc. for your notifications to come. WhatsApp etc.

Visual Editor takes time to get used to

visual editor

macOS Ventura Visual Organizer is a new open application management system

The Visual Editor functionality of macOS Ventura has come to completely change the way Mac users manage the windows of applications in use. The truth is, it’s a very visually pleasing system and the resizing of windows is very dynamic and very well designed.

But this is rare. Visual Editor is very awkward and hard to get used to. Sometimes It’s a bit confusing to find which apps you have open and the fact that they’re always visible from the side means you lose some space on the MacBook screen, especially on smaller laptops. Also, if you usually work with full-screen apps, as in my case, the Visual Editor is no longer relevant.

Application Compatibility

Many important apps are missing from the Mac App Store

Another of the factors I hate most about macOS is Apple’s closed ecosystem and the OS’s compatibility with third-party apps.

There is a wide repertoire of important applications. Not available on the App Store and you need to download via .dmg files. In other cases like Twitter, Facebook, VLC, Chrome, the list is very long.
