The first flight of the Sukhoi Superjet New aircraft with Russian equipment will take place in May. This is a new “import-replaced” version of the existing Sukhoi Superjet 100 with instruments and devices assembled by the Ulyanovsk Instrument Design Bureau.
The date of the first flight of the Sukhoi Superjet New, a version of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 with Russian-made equipment, was announced by the head of the Ulyanovsk Instrument Design Bureau (UKBP), Alexander Voit.
According to Voight, everything the pilots will see in the cockpit has been made at the UKBP. These are on-board radio electronic equipment, display systems, control panels, lighting equipment, specified by Voight.
The existing Sukhoi Superjet 100 consists of 70% imported components. About a third of them were produced by the French company Safran.
The development of import substitution components for the Sukhoi Superjet 100 was estimated at 50 billion rubles, excluding the cost of the Russian-made engines.
It was previously reported that airlines using Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft faced a shortage of spark plugs supplied from the United States.
