Opera was announced on Opera One on Tuesday (25), New browser to replace browser on Windows, macOS and Linux. The change will be made later this year for the program, which has a completely new look and the possibility of navigating an “island”.

Initially, “Tab Islands”, which allows group browsing, will release a developer preview. Islands are grouped by context, like combining Google documents. They are vertical and can be reduced or expanded by users.

The idea arose from research with users who were confused by the number of open tabs. The goal is to offer something smooth and intuitive. In addition to automatic grouping, you can also choose how to group.By pressing CTRL or Command and clicking or dragging tabs to the island.

Opera’s product director, Joanna Czajka, emphasized that the browser will be adapted to every need and will highlight what is relevant to that user. Modular Design will also be adjusted automatically.

“Fluid scanning and modular design is made possible by our new Multithreaded Composer, making Opera the first major Chromium-based browser available.” The interface will be faster and smoother.

The Norwegian company’s browser also has elements that will prepare a “productive future based on artificial intelligence”. Opera One will also integrate AI Prompts and side access to ChatGPT and ChatSonic. Other features will be added later.
