Platim, a service for accepting Russian and foreign payments, has given options to five employees for a total of 10 million rubles, Leonid Rumyantsev, the founder of Platim, announced on his Facebook page*. The businessman also mentioned plans to list the company on the stock market.

“Together with our first investor, Alexander Prokofiev (KudaGo founder, editor’s note), we allocated part of our shares in the form of the first installment of options to some team members. Options were given to 5 people: the head of sales, a back-end developer, a designer, a PR manager and HRD,” Rumyantsev said, adding that the options were allocated “for 10 million rubles.”

He clarified that the options give the right to receive a part of the company’s profits while the team works on Platim, and they will be converted into full shares before going public.

A Platim representative, in response to a request from RB.RU, clarified that designer Elena Gavrilova, sales manager Andrey Samonov and backend specialist Andrey Borodulin each received 1% in Platim LLC, the PR specialist Alisa Berkana and HRD Anna Kamenskaya received 0.5%.

As a result of the transaction, the share of Leonid Rumyantsev will decrease by 3%, Alexander Prokofiev – by 1%. According to the Kontur.Fokus system, as of April 13, 2023, Rumyantsev owns 48.55% of Platim, Prokofiev owns 15.91%.

  • Platim was founded in April 2021 and launched as a mass paid service for freelancers. In 2022, Platim changed its business model and started developing its own fintech solutions. Now it is a service for accepting Russian and foreign payments with its own marketplace for promoting and selling products.
  • At the beginning of 2023, Elena Kuligina, CEO of Blank Bank, became CEO of the service. Before that, she invested in the company in a round of 23.4 million rubles.
  • The company’s investors are also the founder of KudaGo, Alexander Prokofiev (according to RB.RU, he invested a total of 6.8 million rubles) and businessman Anton Mikhailov (invested 15 million rubles in April 2023).
