Apple added a hidden feature in iOS 16.2 that blocks iPhone apps and features by location.
The function is codenamed countryd. It uses GPS data, a code from a Wi-Fi router, and information from a SIM card to determine the country in which the user is located.
The country is currently inactive. But when it earns, it will be much more difficult for the user to bypass the restrictions. For example, changing the region, language, and Apple ID will not help change the environment.
A new feature of common restrictions affecting various states.
Spain, the country will be in Europe. iOS 17 users in Europe are rumored to be developing outside of the App Store. In such a case, the country may need to determine whether the iPhone is used in Europe or not. [9to5Mac]
