MTS acquired a majority stake in the Scout-KR computer platform for fleet management. The company’s key development will be integrated into MTS product solutions for monitoring transport and routing. Scout-KR will continue to work within the MTS circuit as an independent company.
MTS has closed an agreement to buy a 51% stake in Scout-KR, a developer of IT platforms for commercial fleet management (Proektnaya Sreda LLC). This was reported by the MTS press service.
The acquisition will allow MTS to expand its IoT market presence in the transportation telematics segment. The SKAI platform developed by Scout-KR will be integrated into MTS solutions for vehicle monitoring, routing and traffic safety control.
“Now the fleet management market in Russia after the exit of several Western players is very fragmented, but according to various estimates, in the next five years it should double to 26 billion rubles,” said Oleg Aldoshin, Vice President of Corporate and New Business Development at MTS.
SKAI is powered by artificial intelligence, IoT and computer vision technologies and is designed to improve road safety and economic efficiency of corporate fleets. More than 30 thousand vehicles are connected to the platform, 70 large farms use it.
MTS has been developing its own line of intelligent vehicle systems MTS Auto since 2020.
