Former Apple employee Didrend Prasad has been convicted of fraudulent activities against the company.

He was sentenced to 3 years in jail and ordered to pay $17 million in punishment. The man worked in Apple’s global supply chain department between 2008 and 2018, where he purchased parts and services from device service associations.

In 2011, Prasad began accepting kickbacks, calculating invoices and stealing parts, causing Apple to pay for parts and services it didn’t receive. Let’s take two suppliers. They ordered the company for components in Europe and then resold them through their accomplices. As a result, the scammers robbed the Cupertinos for $17 million.

After 3 years in prison, Prasad will also be required to be registered with the police.
