Only government entities are now allowed to initiate them. Similar bans were imposed by the authorities of St. Petersburg and the Moscow region.
Currently, the ban on the use of flying drones is in force in about forty regions of Russia. Among them, Smolensk, Kaluga, Novgorod, Tver, Oryol regions, Crimea, Sevastopol, DPR, Murmansk, Yaroslavl regions, Moscow, Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Tula, Voronezh, Rostov regions, Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Adygea and others.
Restrictions were placed on the use of drones in different regions for safety reasons by local authorities. The introduction of drones can endanger the life and health of citizens, as well as interfere with the work of aviation and other government services.
