Barbie Fashion Designer broke down gender barriers in the gaming industry, making it one of the first video games designed for girls, according to the “Hall of Fame” released in 1996.

Released as an arcade video in 1971, Computer Space proved that video games could reach audiences outside of computer classrooms. He became one of the pioneers of the industry and inspired developers to create Atari Inc., a video game giant in the 1970s and 1980s.

Released in 2013, The Last of Us stood out in the supersaturated genre of post-apocalyptic zombie games thanks to its deep story, catchy characters, and addictive gameplay. The game received a lot of praise and even inspired a recent HBO series.

Introduced in 2006, Wii Sports made video games more accessible to almost everyone, as gamepads similar to TV remotes required, for example, to play golf by doing the appropriate moves. The game’s simple mechanics made it possible for both young children and the elderly to play the game, which helped redefine what “player” is.

These four games have outstripped many other popular titles, including Angry Birds, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and FIFA International Soccer to earn their place in the Video Game Hall of Fame.
