TASS, referring to the press service of the university, as conceived by the creators, the device will be able to complement the tactile cane, protecting a person from threats above knee level. “Sentinel” will allow you to feel at a distance of up to two meters, while classifying obstacles by range – the closer the object, the more the glasses vibrate, say the developers. According to them, “Sentinel” is cheaper, more compact and easier to use than its competitors. In addition, the windows can adapt to the weather conditions.
Currently, the first prototype of the development has been tested and the registration certificate has been obtained.
