Until recently, it was unclear how soon the updated tablets would be released. Now, thanks to internet sources, we know that this will most likely happen in the first quarter of 2024.

Considering that the M2-based iPad Pro series was introduced in October 2022, it seems rather strange that a new series with OLED screens will appear in January, February or March 2024.

But given the rumor that Apple isn’t planning major design changes, the main update could be linked to the switch to the new M3 processor.

An early launch in 2024 could also mean Apple wants more time to prepare an even bigger 14.1-inch iPad Pro. This model will likely be equipped with a more powerful M3 Pro processor and will be able to run a modified version of iPadOS 17.
