During the Google I/O conference this Wednesday, the company announced a new creative option integrated with Duet AI: New interactive intelligence introduced in Google Workspace. This option will help you write emails, fill out documents and create slides in seconds.
When a new document or file is opened, the user will have a star-shaped option in the upper right corner. Clicking it opens a tab called “helper”, like a chat room with options to customize your project.
This tool will analyze the document and make recommendations on what can be done to complement or improve some aspects of the project you are working on. For example, if you’re writing some kind of short story and you’re running out of creativity to continue the story, Duet AI will suggest ways to continue the plot.
Also, if the user wants to add customized images to this file, just ask the AI to create a photo based on the story. The same goes for a Google Slides presentation. If the presenter forgets to add notes to each slide, simply enable the function and type or select what needs to be done. In a few seconds all slides will have a unique and different note.
Finally, the conference used as an example a joint document in which several neighbors would come together for a meeting. Everyone put in what dishes to buy but you have to convert it to text that works in Google Docs. When activating the Duet AI option, the artificial intelligence will document all the dishes in the spreadsheet in outline format or the way you prefer.
Duet AI functions for Google Workspace will soon be available in the Trusted Test program.
