Analysts spoke about the preferences of Russians when shopping online: most spend 2-3 thousand rubles a week on such purchases, and most often buy fruits, vegetables, meat, fish and dairy products. Every third respondent plans to spend and buy products according to a previously prepared list.
Every second study participant (54%) buys groceries when they remember what’s not in the house. 31% of respondents plan food expenses in advance and buy them according to a prepared list. One in eight users of online grocery shopping platforms prefers to wait for discounts and promotions before making a purchase.
The majority of respondents (36%) spend between 2,000 and 3,000 rubles a week shopping for groceries online. 14% admitted that they allocate from 8 thousand rubles a week for this expense. Approximately the same amount is spent on the online purchase of goods up to 1 thousand rubles per week.
Most of the time, vegetables and fruits (11%), meat and fish (11%), and dairy products (10%) end up in the basket of an online grocery shopper. The most popular fruit among buyers is banana, the vegetable is tomato, the dairy product is milk with a fat content of 2.5%, and the meat product is chicken breast fillet.
Analysts from SberMarket and Rambler&Co conducted a study on the purchasing preferences of Russians when buying products online. More than 130,000 Russian residents between the ages of 18 and 45 participated in the survey.
