Analysts Ming-Chi Kuo and Ross Young say Apple’s first foldable device may not arrive until 2025. In other words, before then you still have the opportunity to learn how to fold origami correctly.
But if it’s no joke, at the moment such devices are only prototypes and the exact date of their entry into the market is unknown. Apple, as usual, keeps its innovations a secret until the last moment.
There are different ideas of what a foldable iPhone or iPad might look like. One of the prototypes looks like an iPhone that doubles as the Galaxy Z Flip. Another prototype looks more like an iPad that can be folded down to the size of a phone.
Analysts also estimate that Apple’s first foldable device will cost around $2,500. Expensive? no doubt.
On the other hand, similar devices from other manufacturers can not boast of affordable price. For example, the recently announced Pixel Fold costs $1,799.
