It’s difficult to achieve a completely flat fold, although the device requires a 180-degree fold, according to the company. Reviews show that users have to work hard to get a full 180-degree angle, which is not good for a $1,800 device.

In addition to the folding problem, there were other notable points. Since Google chose a hinge mechanism that requires wider bezels for symmetry, the Pixel Fold has thick bezels around the larger screen.

With the design sandwiched between Samsung’s U-shaped hinge and Moto’s wider drop design, concerns about wrinkling in the unfolded screen are also gone.

Despite initial suggestions that multitasking might be limited, the Pixel Fold can actually run apps side-by-side (two apps on either half of the screen).
