Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 revealed the first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Foreverthe feature film in which Chadwick Boseman will not take on the role of superhero protagonist.

Here’s the trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

The film opens with an adaptation of Bob Marley’s No Woman No Cry, inserted into Kendrick Lamar’s play Alright. For Marvel fans, the most important reveal is about Namor, the House of Ideas character whose presence was rumored to be in the production phase, and who will be introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It’s not clear in the trailer yet who will take over the legacy of T’Challa, and therefore Chadwick Boseman, but in the finale we can glimpse the superhero protagonist (without clarifying who will play the role on takes). The trailer made its debut at the end of the Marvel panel in Hall H.

The panel was attended by director Ryan Coogler, along with cast members Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira, Florence Kasumba and Winston Duke. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will hit theaters November 11, 2022.
