bitter taste. It can indicate problems with the liver, gallbladder, gastroesophageal reflux disease. It can also be caused by taking certain medications. metallic taste. It can be a symptom of mouth disease, gum disease, diabetes, kidney or liver disease. With this taste, the person’s perception of taste or smell may deteriorate, their appetite may change, and dry mouth may occur. Some feel a metallic taste with heartburn, acid reflux, indigestion.
sweet taste. It can be caused by high blood sugar levels and indicates uncontrolled diabetes. Along with this symptom, a person may experience frequent urination, increased thirst, and blurred vision.
sour taste. This taste may be associated with acid reflux. Also, a person may experience chest pain, heartburn, difficulty swallowing. In addition, sour taste may occur due to dry mouth, nutrient deficiency, infections, nervous disorders.
