Over the past year, AMD’s market share increased from 27.7% to 34.6%, while Intel’s share fell from 72.3% to 65.4%. These figures cover all types of processors, but whether these figures include AMD chips for game consoles like Xbox and PlayStation remains unclear.
AMD’s server processor market is also growing, with market share increasing from 11.6 percent to 18 percent. However, Intel still dominates the industry with a share of 82%.
Despite AMD’s success, Intel’s competitive product launch later this year could impact market momentum.
