“Windows Update will automatically launch a feature update for consumer Windows 10 devices and unmanaged enterprise devices near the end of service, or within a few months,” the announcement, published in a Microsoft Learn document, states.
The advisory continues, highlighting the vulnerability of unsupported systems as there is no obligation to maintain updates.. “This ensures your device is supported and receives monthly updates that are critical to the security and health of the ecosystem,” the company says.
Windows 10 22H2 will be the final version of the operating system. Support will be active until October 2025. The update will only take a few minutes to install. However, there is no new 21H2 feature for 22H2.
