Effective June 1, the ban will apply to all government devices connected to the Internet, including mobile phones, laptops and tablets.
The move primarily targets China-related apps like TikTok, WeChat, and Temu.
It’s worth remembering, however, that Telegram is based in Dubai, but Gianforte claims that the Russian government uses this app to track users and collect confidential information.
The ban also applies to third-party companies that do business on behalf of the government.
