The Avanti Association of Entrepreneurs for the Development of Business Patriotism proposed to introduce a six-day working week in Russia. The initiative is explained by the fact that the need of the Russian financial and economic system for additional investments now remains. The appeal was sent to the Ministry of Labor, Izvestia got acquainted with the copy.
In a crisis, this will help increase the strength of the Russian economy, achieve technological and industrial breakthrough, strengthen economic sovereignty and reduce dependence on foreign institutions, the association believes.
- At the end of March, Alexander Shershukov, deputy head of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia (FNPR), proposed introducing a shorter working week in Russia. In his opinion, this may be one of the measures that will help preserve jobs in the labor market.
- In the UK, they conducted an experiment in which analysts found that a four-day work week did not affect work outcomes, with 6 of 39 respondents noting that productivity even increased.
