How to revert to iOS 16 from the iOS 17 beta

Open iTunes or Finder and connect your iPhone to your computer. Now, you will need to activate recovery mode. With the mobile phone connected and turned on, press and release the volume up button, the volume down button, and then hold the power button. Don’t let go until you see the recovery mode screen.

Get back to iOS 16 with iOS 17.

Your computer should automatically detect your phone in recovery mode.. Here Finder or iTunes will show you a message that there is a problem with your iPhone. In the bottom buttons select Restore.

Another window will open. press Restore and update. At the moment, your computer will tell you that there is an update for your iPhone. This is the latest stable and available version of iOS 16. Click on Next and then accept the terms.

How to recover data on your iPhone

Once you return to iOS 16, now it’s time to restore the backup you made before installing the developer version. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to restore backups made after updating to the iOS 17 beta.

  1. Open iTunes or Finder and connect your iPhone to your computer.
  2. Tap the mobile phone icon in the top left corner for iTunes or iPhonein case of Finder.
  3. On this new screen, press the button Restore iPhone/restoring a backup.
  4. Find the most recent backup if you have more than one.
  5. Click on Restore and follow the instructions on the screen. Do not turn off iPhone until it is completed.

When the process is complete, your computer will notify you. from that moment You can turn off your iPhone now and keep using it as you have been doing so far.
