Apple has just released a film shot entirely on the iPhone 14 Pro in Mexico, resurrecting one of the country’s most beloved movie genres: La Lucha Libre. in film
titled Hurricane Ramirez vs. Enchilada Pinatatells the story of a retired wrestler who once again puts on his iconic mask to fight a vengeful piñata that is terrorizing the entire country.
A short film about honor and redemption, it pays homage to the sporting spectacle inherent in Mexican culture while demonstrating the durability, comfort and solid cinematic experience that only an iPhone can provide.
The film’s varied locations, combined with action-packed scenes set against the backdrop of vibrant Mexico City, showcase the cinematic capabilities of the iPhone 14 Pro. focus in Cinema mode when the police chief gives Huracan his legendary mask; It’s beautiful to shoot battle scenes in dark caves in low light conditions.

The film’s protagonist, Huracan Ramirez, is the first luchador created specifically for the film in 1952, and has since become a real superstar with several Mexican luchadors who, under his guise, have brought the character to life for decades.
