The launch date of the Xiaomi 13T mobile phone has been announced: September 26. The manufacturer also explained: promises to deliver four system updates and up to five years of security patches.
The latest rumors suggest that the Xiaomi 13T will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1080×2400 resolution. The device should have MediaTek’s Dimensity 8200 processor, 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.
Date announced with a promotional image referring to the new model. The announcement was also published on X, formerly Twitter.

Xiaomi 13T Pro should also be introduced on the same date. The most expensive model has to be the renamed version of the Redmi K60, which was basically launched in August this year.
5 years of Android updates
Daniel Desjarlais, Xiaomi’s director of communications, announced that the Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro on X will receive up to 4 Android updates and five years of security patches.

“We are proud to announce a significant development in our commitment to providing exceptional software support. Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro will include 4 generations of Android operating system updates as well as 5 years of security patches,” Desjarlais said in his post.
Xiaomi isn’t the first company to provide longer-term support: Samsung, OnePlus, Oppo, and Google itself are also known for updating devices for more than two generations of Android.
