Although Edge 40 Neo is said to compete with high-end devices, the device has advanced intermediate hardware. The mobile phone, which has 8 GB RAM with 256 GB storage combined with the MediaTek 7030 processor, has technologies such as 5G, Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E. An additional feature is the RAM Boost feature, which uses some of the memory.
It launches with Android 13, and Motorola guarantees two Android updates in addition to three years of security updates. Therefore, Edge 40 Neo should get up to Android 15.
As for the battery, the company is playing it safe with 5,000mAh, slightly more than the traditional Edge 40’s 4,400mAh, and includes a 68W charger in the box. Fast charging support promises 50% energy in just 15 minutes when connected to an outlet.
Faster cameras
Another feature that stands out according to Motorola is the device’s cameras. The product can shoot 4K (at 30 fps) with all sensors and has HDR video feature. The functionality promises “crisper, more vibrant colors and super-strong work on contrast,” according to Maurício Moisés, Motorola’s global product manager.
