CEO Carl Pei didn’t mention it on Platform X over the weekend.
To enable the new feature, users need to install the official ChatGPT Android app from the Google Play Store and use the voice chat feature at least once.
You can then add the ChatGPT shortcut to both the Quick Settings panel and the Quick Settings widget.
Once added, users can easily activate ChatGPT by clicking the shortcut and asking their questions. Using a widget allows you to easily access this feature right from your desktop.
Carl Pei expressed his excitement for the ChatGPT assistant, saying it was “much more responsive” than expected. Note that the new feature was previously tested in the beta version of the ChatGPT app for Android.
