Xcover Series Samsung is a line of rugged smartphones designed to work in extreme conditions. These devices are IP68 certified, meaning they are waterproof, dustproof, and have a rugged design to protect them from shocks and drops.
Some Xcover series models also have special features such as a removable battery, custom key or thermal imaging camera.
And now the new Galaxy Xcover 7 series is coming out, and the first renderings have appeared.
This is what the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 7 looks like
Xcover 7 has a single rear camera and a rugged design. Apparently the back panel is also user removable.
On the left side is a customizable Xcover button that you can use for just about anything you want: launching an app, tap-and-talk, scanning barcodes, you name it, you can customize it.
The Xcover 7 is expected to be MIL-STD-810H rated and also IP68 dust and water resistant. It should also be able to withstand drops onto hard surfaces such as concrete.
