Google is going to make some very important strategy changes with its next Pixel 9. At least that’s what leaked from 9Mobile phones, who shared the first renderings of the base variant of the brand’s next flagship. The aforementioned portal also revealed a detail that we didn’t know about until now: there will be three versions Google Pixel 9 with three different screen sizes.

In January, 9Mobile phones had already revealed some purported Pixel 9 renders that showed a triple-camera rear, meaning that the photographic configuration wouldn’t be one of the main differences this year. However, the new images show the Pixel 9 with two sensors on the back, as well as a completely flat aluminum frame and slightly rounded corners.

This means that the images that were published at the beginning of the year actually match Pixel 9 Prowhich will have a new screen size of 6.1 inches compared to the 6.8 inches included in the Pixel 8 Pro. Pixel Base 9 It will also have a similar diagonal of 6.03 inches, so while the company will keep the camera difference, it will almost completely eliminate the size difference.

Now for those who want a larger mobile phone, all signs point to Google releasing Pixel 9 Pro XL with a 6.5-inch screen and the same features as the Pro model.

Google will bring back the XL name on the Pixel 9 Pro

Curious, The Pixel 9 Pro XL is slightly smaller than 6.8 inches. current flagship. But Google will thereby address one of the main shortcomings of its flagship smartphone: 6.8 inches is too big for some users, and if they want a more moderate size, they will have to sacrifice the camera configuration.

This is something that other manufacturers do not have. Apple, for example, offers two versions of its iPhone 15 pro. On one side, one measures 6.1 inches. On the other hand, the 6.7-inch Pro Max variant. While there is a slight difference between the telephoto lenses this year, they both have the same camera setup, the same processor, and the same resolution. So, this Google strategy for the upcoming Pixel 9 makes sense.

Google Pixel 9

Google, however, has not confirmed anything about this yet. It wouldn’t be strange if both the design and screen configuration of the Pixel 9 underwent some changes in the final version. These three models, as well as the company’s second generation of foldable devices, could debut during Google I/O. This is the company’s developer conference, which may take place in May.
