We have already shared with you First detailed images of the next Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. As of today, we have information about when the “fan version” phone might go on sale. The date is not surprising, but it may disappoint those who are eagerly awaiting its purchase.

According to ET News (and first spotted by Phone Arena), Samsung is planning to launch the new phone in October. It is set to launch alongside the budget Galaxy A16. Like previous “fan edition” models, the phone Galaxy S24 FE It offers many, but not all, of the same features as the regular Samsung Galaxy series, perhaps at a lower price.

Rumors indicate that the Galaxy S24 FE will feature a 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 1900 nits. It is expected to be powered by a Samsung Exynos 2400e processor. Like last year’s model, the Galaxy S24 FE will likely feature an aluminum body.

Based on the images above, the new phone is expected to be available in at least five colors at launch: graphite, blue, silver white, green, and yellow. Two colors exclusive to Samsung’s website are also expected to be announced.

The launch of Samsung’s Galaxy S FE models has been inconsistent, with no set schedule. For example, the Galaxy S23 FE was released in October 2023, but there was no Galaxy S22 FE. The Galaxy S21 FE came out in January 2022, and the Galaxy S20 FE came out in September 2020.

The Galaxy S23 FE currently starts at $599, so the S24 FE price could be the same. However, Samsung raised the prices of its flagship devices earlier this year, including the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra. This suggests that the Galaxy S24 FE price could also increase. So it wouldn’t be surprising to see the entry-level model cost $649 or $699.
