It also outperforms phones like Xiaomi 13 Pro with a 120W charger that fully charges the battery in about 20 minutes.
It’s not just the overall charging time that’s impressive: Realme’s 320W SuperSonic Charge takes one minute to reach 26% capacity and two minutes to reach 50% capacity. These figures come from Realme’s SuperSonic Charge lab tests, and while there may be some variation depending on battery capacity and regional power supply, we expect them to be close to real-world figures.
It took Realme two years to finalize SuperSonic Charge, and it works by combining a variety of technologies. One of the most important is that it requires a special “stacked” battery, which Realme claims is a world first. It consists of four cells with a total capacity of 4,420 mAh, but is only 3 mm thick. The 320W charger has two USB ports and is compatible with several proprietary charging systems, including Power Delivery and SuperVOOC, as well as the UFCS system.
This stands for Universal Fast Charging Specification and is a standard that combines several different protocols into one. It has been adopted by several Chinese smartphone makers since its announcement in 2022. Realme specifies that the UFCS protocol allows for 320W charging power.
