Google just made an announcement that the death of many Android phones could present.
From Android 15, says Google, the minimum capacity of the devices will increase, leaving several outdated devices.

The new requirement will mean that phones and tablets will require at least 32 GB to perform the Android operating system.
In fact, this should be even more, since 75% of these 32 GB should be assigned to separate data.
If we add to this the fact that Android 15 will occupy about 16 GB, it makes sense that Google raised the minimum requirement for this new one.
Although Google worked to support its mobile operating system as much as possible, it grew to size, which means that there will be little space on the device or something else on a device with a minimum capacity of 16 GB.
This means that the most affordable end of the Android smartphone market can no longer save by offering devices with lower power.
The growth rate is quite fast if you consider that Android 13, launched in 2022, demanded a minimum jump from 8 GB to 16 GB. Now, just a few years later, it has doubled in size.
Can Google provide a new container?
Technically, Google cannot force manufacturers not to produce phones with less capabilities if they use the Android version with open source (AOSP).
What Google can do is provide this rule to companies that want to send phones using their Google Mobile Service (GMS) as part of the package. To obtain a GMS license, the device must comply with some minimum requirements of governing principles, including a new minimum storage capacity of 32 GB.
Although this may seem something that you can slip away without a GMS license, the device cannot access the main Google services, such as Google Play Store or Google Play Services.
On the positive side
This can be good, as this means that economic phones will offer the best user experience, with softer work.
It should also mean a large container for applications and games on devices, which is never bad.
