Samsung will expand its Re-Newed program to include refurbished smartphones. The South Korean company has confirmed that newer models such as Galaxy S22, Galaxy A53, tablets and soon available devices are included at a lower cost.

Currently, the company only sells owner-used and refurbished cell phones from old lines. For example, in the United States these are the Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S21 and Galaxy Note 10. Only the first two in the UK.

Buying refurbished phones is one way to get newer phones while saving money. The difference from buying them directly from the manufacturer instead of the previous user is that the product is tested by engineers who guarantee its quality, parts are replaced and repairs that make it look like new.

In addition to Samsung, Apple already sells refurbished devices. Third-party electronics stores also often sell smartphones that have become popular with the global economic crisis affecting the cost of living.

The South Korean company also allows users of the brand’s mobile phones to hand over older models in exchange for cash or a discount on the purchase of newer devices. These are devices that have been refurbished and sold under the Refurbished program.
