A few weeks after the presentation Pixel Fold has no more secrets. The complete table of specifications for the first foldable mobile phone from Mountain View has been filtered by Jon Prosser in his latest video.
Of course, the information should be taken with a grain of salt, because it is unofficial. However a leak He was very accurate in his reporting on previous Google releases, and what he said about the Pixel Fold was not disputed by any of the Android specialist media or other sources.
As a reminder, rumors of a foldable Pixel began circulating in 2019 but never materialized. In fact, at the end of 2021, it was assumed that Google decided to cancel development of the device. However, as with the Pixel Watch, the Californians would decide to continue with the project.
In November last year, we met the first renders supposedly based on the real Pixel Fold. Although its presentation date was leaked earlier this week, scheduled for May 10and its public availability date, which will be June 27th.
However, the latter may undergo minor changes. Prosser himself mentions that, according to his sources, Google planned to show a preview of the Pixel Fold before officially unveiling it at its I/O event.. Apparently, it will be next Wednesday, April 26th. It remains to be seen if it materializes.

Some additional considerations
In his post, Prosser mentions that the Pixel Fold will include a fingerprint sensor on the power button, but will also support face unlock. While for video recording, the rear camera will be able to 4K image capture at 30 fpsor in 1080p at 60 fps.
As expected, Google will include several technologies in the Pixel Fold that are already present in regular smartphones. Among them are the functions Magic eraserto erase objects in photos, Blur phototo improve blurry or shaky images, and true tonewhich provides more realistic results on darker skin tones.
Price and availability
With regard to availability, the schedule will be already mentioned in the past days. The mobile phone could be reserved from May 10, but only through the Google Store; while May 30 will begin pre-sale with partners and carriers (at least in the United States), with June 27 as the official launch date.
Where there would be news is in the price, although it would not be positive. While it has already been mentioned that the device will hit the market for $1,799, that amount will be for the version with less storage. The higher capacity option will be even more expensive. So the numbers will be:
- Pixel Fold with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: $1799. Available in two colors: black and white.
- Pixel Fold with 12GB RAM + 512GB storage: 1919 US dollars. Available in black only.
If you think the prices of the Pixel Fold are too high, Google will try to ease the burden on buyers’ pockets with an interesting perk: Those who reserve the foldable will receive a free Pixel Watch.. It remains to be seen whether these data will be confirmed, but it is good that May 10 is not far off.
