iPadOS 17, the next version of the iPad operating system, will have special version adapted for large screen models, rumored from an anonymous user on Twitter. The leader claims that this edition will be intended for 14.1″ iPad that the company may announce in 2024 and deliver big news about the “Pro” models that Apple already has in its catalog.
This special version of iPadOS 17 is expected to support the capabilities of the 14.1-inch iPad, and is likely not enough to add additional interface features. In fact, according to the source, this version of the operating system will allow support for up to two 6K displays at 60Hzwhich can be connected via a Thunderbolt 4 port. It is not clear if this model will have multiple ports for simultaneous connection and charging.
On the other hand, the 14.1-inch iPad could arrive with M3 Pro chip; Probably one of the most powerful Apple processors of the coming year. In addition, the company is integrating the Pro chip into its iPads for the first time, as so far the Pro and Air models have had the M3 chip.
Apple has been planning to release an iPad with a bigger screen for years.
This is not the first time there have been rumors of an iPad launching with a screen larger than the 12.9-inch Pro model. Over a year ago, Mark Gurman of Bloombergshowed that the company plans to develop new iPad models with a larger screen size.
Then yes. iPads larger than 12.9 inches were just the approach of those from Cupertino.. The gourmet bet that the screen sizes would be approximately 14 and 16 inches.
Apple currently offers up to six screen sizes in its iPad lineup. Mini version – 8.9 inches; ninth generation model, 10.2 inches; tenth model and Air 10.9 model; and the Pro models come in 11″ and 12.9″ sizes.
Attention iPadOS 17, this version is expected to be officially announced during WWDC 2023 on June 5th. The update may include improvements to widgets, search, and more.
